BrightAuthor 4.6 Installer Failing

The BrightAuthor 4.6.0.5/8/14/15 installer may fail if Windows Firewall is disabled. To fix this issue, enable Windows Firewall before installation. Once the installation process is complete, you can disable it again.

I have tried turning my Windows firewall off and the installer continues to fail.

I'm having the same problem. Just received 10 HD223 s and cannot create any content for them. Never had a problem with BrightAuthor install in for the HD220.

For any brightautor 4.6.0.18 isntalls, please run the uninstaller for the previous brightautthor release. If that fails, please contact support at support @brightsign.biz.

For earlier 4.6 install issues, try turning on windows firewall if it's off. Please also update to latest 4.6 ms .net. Email us if you continue to have problems.

If I install Microsoft .net Framework 4.6 directly from Microsoft first, then BrightAuthor installs fine.

Installing .NET 4.6 worked for me as well.
