The TD1012 power button doesn't seem to have any effect

Sleep

Toggling the Power button off once puts the TD1012 display to sleep. It doesn't power off the TD1012. 

Power Off

To power off the unit, you need to toggle the Power button on and off four times. 

Restart

If you simply need to restart the TD1012, you can press the RESET button using a pen or paper clip. The recessed RESET button is next to the GPIO12 button on the side of the TD1012.
