How do I rotate a Landscape video for Portrait Playback?

You can rotate MOV & MP4 videos easily with Quicktime Pro.

  1. Open the video you wish to rotate.
  2. Click the Window Menu and select Show Movie Properties.
  3. Select the Video Track.
  4. Choose Visual Settings.
  5. Rotate the video.
  6. Save or export the video as h.264.

This is an easy fix -  if only it worked in the players. It rotates fine in QT but plays just as a landscape video would on a portrait screen from Brightsign. DId anyone test this tip before posting?

You can use video editing software to edit videos. You can also rotate with the dial on your phone or camera to use the screen rotation feature. Besides, you can use the screen rotation button to make it easy to play smash karts or take pictures.
