Brightsign firmware fails to install successfully

Follow these steps if you are having trouble updating the firmware on a player via an SD card or USB drive:

  1. Reformat the flash drive using FAT32.
  2. Confirm that the update file name ends with *-update.bsfw.
  3. Make sure the update file is in the root folder of the flash card, not in a sub-directory.
  4. Use a different flash card if available.
