Supported image formats

The following image types are supported on BrightSign players:

  • BMP: 8, 16, 24, and 32 bit
  • PNG: 8, 16, and 24 bit
  • JPEG*
    *JPEG files that use the CMYK, grayscale, or black & white color spaces are not supported.

The maximum supported image resolution is 4096x2160x32bpp for XT4 and XT3 models, while other models support images up to 2048x1280x32bpp.

BrightAuthor and BrightAuthor:connected will resize large images unless Full-Resolution Graphics is enabled in presentation properties.

 

HD600

  • BMP - 8, 24, and 32 bit
  • The maximum image resolution supported is 1280x720

HD2000

  • BMP: 8, 24, and 32 bit
  • PNG and JPEG formats (progressive jpegs not supported)
  • Maximum image resolution supported is 1920x1080

    I have a problem with Bright Author 4.6 resizing the image no matter what resolution I make it. :(

    The software resizes images to 1918 x 1080 2 pixels off 1080p causing black borders to appear on images used in presentations.

    Can you confirm that if you use 3840x2160 images on XDx34 or HDx24 players then you loose the ability to use transitions between images?
