Can I display text, RSS, or Twitter feeds using BrightAuthor on a BrightSign player?

Last Updated: September 16th, 2014

Yes, you can display static text, a Twitter feed, or an RSS feed. You can use a Live Text state to overlay text content on top of a video or display it in a dedicated zone (i.e. a Ticker zone). You can also overlay text on top of an image by placing a Ticker zone on top of a Background Image zone.

Displaying Twitter feeds requires BrightAuthor versions 3.7 and later.

If you're using the Live Text feature, you can switch between one or more text fields with image backgrounds

Note: You can display Text, RSS, and Twitter feeds using static, animated, or scrolling text modes.

Feed was working correctly until twitter doubled the number of characers that are allowed.

For a tweet that has 144 or less characters operates correctly.

For tweets tha tare beyond 144 the feed concatenates the tweet and appends a URL i.e.

Did Brightsign code address this or do I have a configuration issue that's limiting use case to 144 characters.

179 characters to concatenation should allow 280 characters and never trim a tweet.
