Can I play a BrightAuthor project from an NTFS formatted card?

Would NTFS cards hinder synchronzation between multiple brightsigns?

No, it only doesn't work if you're writing to the card with logs or with network updates. So long as logging isn't enabled on the unit, you can use ntfs.

I'm a new user of the HD220, and try to play a video (just one, since 11giga)

I try many way to format exfat, Ntfs, and read a lot of thing here . But when i put the card, the "error" led is blinking, the HD220 reboot etc...

I try with a lot of movies, and just with a picture, 3 cards, nothing work .

I use the last Firmware and the last Brightauthor . Can you give me an help to understand why my format card doesn't work ?

NTFS is the format you want...if there's no playlist or script on the sd card, the red lights are going to blink in a pattern of 3. That's normal. If you publish a playlist using our brightauthor software, you won't get the blinking lights. For ntfs, if you're using brightauthor, make sure you don't enable any logging to the sd card. 

If your video isn't using a recognized extension or it's out of spec, then it won't play. If you search our faq for codec, you'll find a list of supported extensions and support specs.

I try many video under this size, to test : 

for example :

when i play a 2GB files, it's working well on FAT32, the same project on BrightAuthor doesn't work on exfat or Ntfs

I use the last brightauthor to define the projet . and know the codec to use on HD220, 

All is working well on Fat32, but if i use Ntfs or exfat, the LED blinking 3 times, 

login is in :

Tools/Setup brightsign unit 

All is disable 

Can you open your 11GB video file using mediainfo utility and send us the full specs of this file.

yes i can try, and send you the full specs but i don't think the problem come from this file . 

I can use a lot of différent movies and just a picture, nothing working on the NTFS .

Somes files (under 4GB) working well on FAT32 but never on NTFS .

Run this script on your unit to reset to factory defaults, then try playing your project again. It should be run from a card formatted fat32. It's possible there's some setting on the player which has it logging something to the card. The only time I've seen ntfs playback fail is when the unit is trying to write to the ntfs volume, and that's not supported.

I launch the autorun, to reset the HD220, it seem to work like a charm on NTFS!

I test with a picture : OK 

and with a short movies : OK too !

Now i can try with biggest files !

It is not only logs you must avoid when using NTFS formatted cards. Also defining variables in your presentation causes the boot process to end to a black screen and red led blink ten times.

Units do not support writing to NTFS formatted SD card. Does the same project play on FAT32 card? Please export the presentation (File - Export) to empty folder on your PC, zip and send it to us for review.
