What is the Image Cache feature in BrightAuthor?

Note: This feature is not available in the current version of BrightAuthor:connected.

The Image Cache allows you to preload some images into player memory so that they display much faster. You can use up to 16MB of player graphics memory for the Image Cache. BrightAuthor shows how much memory each image will use when it’s opened; for an overview of currently cached images in the presentation, navigate to File > Presentation Properties > Image Cache.

Note: Compressed images can consume more memory than their reported file size.

is there any reason why caching images breaks the bright author image transitions? i noticed as soon as I tried turning this feature on, the transitions are almost instantaneous.

Any resolution to the question above?

I need to check on this. Cached images are preloaded into memory. Clearly that's affecting how transitions are handled. what ba version are you both using, and what firmware? also what player?
