Installing multiple BrightAuthor versions on Windows

You can install multiple BrightAuthor versions on your computer.

This is the default Windows 7 path where BrightAuthor config files are located:

C:\Program Files (x86)\BrightSign\BrightAuthor

1. After you install BrightAuthor, copy the BrightAuthor folder from the default directory to your desktop or any other folder on your PC and rename the folder to match the BrightAuthor version (for example "3.8.0.27").
2. Then go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall BrightAuthor.
3. Install a different BrightAuthor version in the same location (C:\Program Files (x86)\BrightSign\BrightAuthor).

You can repeat this process indefinitely and install as many BrightAuthor versions as needed. The image below shows a custom "BA" folder with numerous sub-folders that contain different BrightAuthor versions.

When you open one of these sub-folders, you will see something like this:

You can then double-click the BrightAuthor.exe file to launch a respective BA version.
