Using BrightSign Players with LED videowalls


 The key points to get a LED wall or a group of LED walls working with  BrightSign players is to send a standard resolution that is greater than the pixel resolution of the wall, and common to both the BrightSign player and the LED Wall processor. Then you use the BrightAuthor canvas tool to match the pixel resolution. The Least Common Resolution is the lowest resolution that both the LED Wall Processor can accept as a input and the lowest resolution the BrightSign Player can output, that is greater than the resolution of the physical LED pixels connected to the LED Wall processor. 


For example, let's assume you have a LED Wall Processor that accepts 3840x2160 using the HDMI input of the LED Wall Processor, and has a LED physical pixel layout of 2560x960. 



BrightSign players do not support 3840x2160 over DisplayPort, and do not have a DisplayPort output. If you have a LED that is using a wall processor that only accepts 4K(3840x2160) using the LED wall processor's DisplayPort input and you have a physical LED pixel resolution that is either greater than 1920 pixels in width or greater than 1080 pixels in height, contact the LED manufacture for guidance in creating a LED wall that accepts 4K( 3840x2160) using a HDMI 2.0 input.



You would send the LED Wall Processor 3840x2160 from the BrightSign Player and use the Layout tab in BrightAuthor to shrink the zone where your content will play from to 2560x960. You will have to set the BrightSign to "Force Resolution" and "Use Graphics Plane" when creating a new project to get the 3840x2160 layout canvas.
