Save as User Events using when adding touch events.

In my quest to find a quicker way to add 3 pre sized and aligned touch regions to 1000 images, I've tried to use the Save as User Event option under the Add Touch Event dialog screen.

I can't find what it does! I was expecting it to pop up in the media library under the user events tab and to be able to drag it to each photo, however it does not appear to do anything at all.

 

Ive updated bright author and restarted but nothing changes, if I try to manage the user events touch is not an option.

 

Any ideas what the save as box does?

    Did you OK out of the Touch Event or did you Cancel out?  It doesn't add until the Touch Event is added.

    Are all of your images using the same touch events?

    If so, you may want to put the images into an Image List (for sequential access) or Image Play File (for random access), then you can put the Touch Event onto the single List or Play File state rather than every single image.

    Another alternative is to add another zone with a transparent image and put the Touch Event on that image.

    Thanks for the speedy response.

    Yes OK'd out of the touch command, done it many times as I am working through the images. But nothing appears to save.

    No all images are not using the same cammands currently, but they could do. They are all using the same home command and the layout is the same but the only way I can see it working currently is for each of the forward and backwards commands to call a new state.

    What you have said about the play list is what I wanted but I can't find any info on using it with touch. What I was looking for is a next or forward and a backwards or previous so all the touch commands are the same. . Do these commands exist?

    Likewise with the transparent image on a new zone, I can't figure out how this will work unless it's using the same next / previous command to change the image.

    Can you point me in the right direction.

    Your image list would look something like this where it's using a zone message to advance or go back. I've added commands next and back.

    I can then create two image zones that I place in the corners of the screen, and add touch events to those zones so that when touched, each sends a zone message to the image list.

    Thanks for the reply. 

    After trying many options it appears as though something else is at play causing several errors. 

    I've basically tried a variation of what you have above, which I was sure should work.  

    I have created 3 touch regions on the image list as was suggested by Brandon yesterday, the first touch region is set to transition to home state which this now does perfectly, the second region is a forward button and set to transition to the image list,  in the advanced tab in the add touch event screen, i've set it to send a zone message of next, I've done the same for the third region which is a back button but with the zone message of back as per your suggestion.

    Why it appears not to be working is under the edit for the image list, when I select zone message and enter next and back in the specify zone message boxes, after I click ok and re enter the edit screen the next and back text is not saved. 

    I have this issue and the ones below on both version BA 4.6.0.18 and BA 4.3.0.16

    Here are the issues i have, do you have any suggestions?

    1 - When I try and save a user event in the add a touch event screen it does not appear in the user events tab.

    2 - In the image list the browse button and delete all button on the right are actually not visible and off of the window, and I'm not able to scroll or resize to see them, the only way i can get to it is to tab and press enter. The took a while to figure out!

    3 - The Specify Zone message text is not saving in the image list

    Not sure on #1 and #3, but for #2, right-click the desktop, choose Display Settings, and make sure Change the size of text, apps and other items is set to 100%.

    On earlier Windows versions, set the DPI setting to 100% in the advanced Display Properties.

    Ive checked all my settings for the display and I can't find anything that is zooming it, everything looks good.

    The Change the size of text, apps and other items is set to 100% and its windows 10. I've uninstalled the intel graphics properties program so it's just using the system graphics properties but nothing has changed. Nothing on the laptop looks wrong apart from Image list, audio list, video list and media list settings boxes in BA. The image below is what I'm seeing for all 4 of the lists, all other options in BA seem to look right. Could it be a formatting issue with that layout in BA?
     I've fully uninstalled both versions of BA I had installed on the laptop and re installed just 4.6.0.18, all issues above are still present.

    What help can you offer with these?

    Can I add a "Me Too" to the Touch User Events does not save?  Tried many things, but Touch User Events does not save.
