Play all files on USB stick

My client wants to play all files on a usb stick. These files could be named anything.

They also want these files to play without rebooting the player.

If not what can be done or changed to make this work?

Is this possible?

    I'm assuming they don't want to build a playlist in brightauthor. So, they're only using usb to play, nothing else? They're starting with usb?

    And, they want to be able to put in a different usb stick, and have the player start playing from that usb stick?

    This file will play all content on a usb stick. If you remove the usb stick, and reinsert it, then it will scan the usb stick, and restart playback after scanning.

    To use, just copy it to a usb stick with content.

     

    If you create a folder called "boot" on your usb stick, and put a copy of this file in the folder, in addition to a copy in the root of the usb stick, when the unit boots, it will load the script into memory of the player. Once that's done, you wouldn't need a copy of the usb stick anymore. Any usb stick inserted would content would be treated the same way by the new boot script.

    I just load the playusbonly autorun.brs in boot directory with USB stick, and now I want to remove the script? Could you please let me know how to remove it? I tried everyway but not able to achieve it.

    You want to remove it from where? From the usb stick? or did you follow the steps to save it in memory, and you want it removed from memory of the unit?

    Hi Lyndon, thanks a lot for your feedback.

    Yes I wanted to remove it from memory. But I have finally solved the problem, I firstly change the autorun file by delete the reboot codes to stop the automatisch reboot, and then use web page to factory default setting, then it worked !!!

    Now I got a new question from my client, who hopes to play USB file like "plug and play", at the same time when HDMI-IN is plugged in, then play from HDMI-IN. Is it possible with XT1144?

    Is it also possible to use the USB for content, with basic geometry and position on the screen? My problem is that i have 2 players synced and i need my client to update content by itself in a easy way, but those player also have different presentation setup.

    Thanks a lot for this autorun, I just need to add size and position (to play on LED screen) with fit or fill fonction, and set up time of start and stop, how can I do that ? Do I modify the script or can I set it up in bright author ?
