WMV Playback?

I have a need to playback WMV-HD files to a 720 Projector, The HD2000 should be able to do that no problem, but what I really need is to be able to pass the WMA 5.1 channel mix over the spdif connection. Can it do this?

I don't need it to decode it, I just need it to pass the signal to the decoder digitally.

    Angel,



    While the HD2000 can passthrough 5.1 audio, it doesn't support WMV-HD. It supports mpeg2.

    Is it something that can be supported later, or is it an option that cannot even be developed?



    No WMV-HD, huh?  Mpeg-2 is far inferior to WMV-HD in my humble opinion.



    Oh well, that's life.

    WMV is not a capability of the HD2000 software.



    MPEG2 can look just as good as WMV, but you have to use a higher bit rate to get the same visual quality.  We support MPEG2 up to 25mbps, which is very high quality.
