BrightAuthor - Network Properties tab a "No Show"

For some reason the Networking Tab under File-> Sign Properties will not show up regardless of the HDxxx I select. I have been using BrightAuthor with my HD210 and love it. Early last week, the Networking tab was there, but it is no longer. I have version 1.0.1.6.

What am I doing wrong?

    I'll send you version 1.0.1.5 which has the networking tab intact. Version .6 doesn't have the networking tab.

    Need it too. Never had networking, I downloaded 1.0.1.6 from the website.

    That beta release was a transitional version in preparation for a change in how local and internet networking would be handled. For internet connectivity BrightAuthor would connect directly to a BrightSign Network Manager account removing the need to have the software connect to only a webserver.



    For local connectivity, we are looking at adding a webserver directly to the units.



    But, there has been requests to keep the approach where BrightAuthor can still connect to a simple web server.

    having all 3 options sounds great to me! It would be a shame to drop the 'simple web server' option as it works well.

    Yes Andrew, you’re right! The simple web-server is the easiest way to integrate a brightsign unit in a customers network without configure his routers, vpns, ports etc. Just plug’n’play and the unit works very well with content creation and updates by Brightauthor in only a few minutes.



    So Lyndon, please just let this option! This was the most important feature to decide  for the brightsign players.
