It looks like Bright Author Connected uses a different extension.
Can you use the old version on one computer and the Connected on another computer?
Also, would there be a reason that a player wouldn't be picking up in the legacy?

Bright Scripters The two generations of BrightAuthor are not intended to work in tandem. Presentations created in the legacy version can be imported into BA Connected and it is a one-way street. No going back...
After setting up a player to Local File Networking using BA Connected, that player would not be visible by the legacy version of BA. It is out with the old in with the new :)
