New Production BrightAuthor and Firmware Available

New versions of 4.6 BrightAuthor and 6.2 firmware are now available on the Software Downloads page.

BrightAuthor Version 4.6.0.18

Minimum Player Firmware Required: 6.2.39 (XTx43, XDx33, HDx23, LS423) / 5.1.33 (4Kx42, XDx32, XDx30, HDx22, HDx20, LSx22)

This version provides several fixes for persistent BLE beacons. It also fixes the installer for Windows instances that have Windows Firewall disabled.

Firmware Version 6.2.94

This version is available for the following model families: XTx43, 4Kx42, XDx33, XDx32, HDx22, LS432, and LSx22.

This firmware version features exFAT support for series 3 players. It also introduces Node.js support for HTML-capable models. You can view a full list of release notes for firmware version 6.2. here.

The fix for Windows Firewall issues in BrightAuthor 4.6 is really helpful. That was a common problem before.

The point I'm most interested in is the fix related to persistent BLE beacons, because these kinds of errors are often very annoying when implemented in real-world environments and much harder to debug than in theory. I wonder if the Among Us performance and stability when running heavy HTML content on the XDx33 series will significantly improve after version 6.2.94?
