New beta versions of 6.0 firmware and 4.3 BrightAuthor are now available on the Software Downloads page.
Firmware Version 6.0.41 (Beta)
Important: In this build, 4Kx42 players are unable to connect with the Iguanaworks IR transceiver. Furthermore, 4K1142 players cannot accept 4K60p HDMI input from devices that output this resolution at YCbCr 4:2:2 and/or 4:4:4 only (i.e. a significant number of 4K output devices). These issues will be fixed in the next firmware release.
Version 6.0.41 is available for all current models: 4Kx42, XDx32, XDx30, HDx22, LSx22, HDx20, and AU320. This version includes a fix for Background Image zones in Portrait Mode presentations. Issues with YouTube video playback on HTML pages (along with several other HTML/JavaScript issues) have also been fixed.
This version features full encryption/decryption support for HLS streams via the roMediaStreamer object. It also features the new Format Storage option in the Diagnostics tab of the Diagnostic Web Server.
BrightAuthor Version 4.3.0.13 (Beta)
Minimum Player Firmware Required: 5.1.33 (4Kx42, XDx32, XDx30, HDx20, LSx22) / 5.1.16 (HDx22)
Version 4.3.0.13 enables the Force Resolution check box (File > Presentation Properties > Main) by default to match legacy resolution forcing behavior. This change will only apply to fresh installs and updates from pre-4.3.0.x versions; if you are updating from an earlier version of 4.3.0.x, your current preference will be preserved.
This version also includes a fix for uploading “Regular” BrightWall presentations to BSN. This issue only occurred when a BrightWall playlist was automatically populated.
