Using Images & Text in User Variable Fields

I have a number of food menus which use live text.  The items on the menu are set up as user variables so that the menu items can be updated daily through the bright author app.  We have these icons which need to be included with the food items that have various indications (i.e. organic, vegan, vegetarian, healthy choice).

Since the width of the user variable field will vary depending on the food item in that field, I cannot specify a specific place on the menu where the food icons should appear.

Is there a way to include an image next to the text in a user variable field?

For each possible combination of icons, create a single image, and name them accordingly.

Create more variables, so for each menu item, there is a second variable that holds the icons image name.

Use Image Play Files to list all images, and assign a variable by "Use variable to specify key"

For each menu item you would need an Image Play File, that lives in its own zone, and placed where it needs to be on the screen.

This can also be done without adding variables, if the item's name is also the image key...

    I hope that helped :)
