Video files are displaying as black screen.

Newb here.....I've created a test project with 3 pictures and 1 mpeg4 video for an HD3.  The pictures roll through like planned but when it transitions to the video it just remains on black screen.  Anyone have anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening?  Do I have to specify to Play the vid file somewhere?I've tried multiple different video files all with the same outcome.  All video files are functional elsewhere.

    Was the video encoded to a compatible format?

    I've tried 5 different video clips and BA let's be drop all of them into the project... They are all of the MP4 extension

    The issue turned out to be that I had a portrait orientation project that had an interlaced resolution selected.....had to check the logs for that one
