I have an XD232 that I'm trying to set up that's doing nothing. I have one running now and am trying to do the same thing with the second, but so far no good.
To get the other one going I used an 8gig Sandisk that was formatted to FAT32. In BrightAuthor I went to tools > set up BrightSign unit. I specified the newest firmware update for this device (brightsign_xd2_update_6.1.76) and ran "Create Setup Files".
I tried this same process without the firmware as well. To get the first one running this is all I did. The box ran for about a minute and a half and said that it was set up and I could remove the card. I unplugged the power, inserted the new presentation SD card and it worked.
With Brightbox #2 that screen stays black. I'm not getting anything at all. Am I missing something? Is there a factory reset button I can try? What am I missing?
Oh by the way I tried 2 identical screens trying to get this running just to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue. The BrightBox was brand new in plastic.
