Synchronize the Timing of Image Transitions in Image List

We have 7 different food stations in our cafeteria.  For each food station, I have a XD1132 BrightSign player hooked up which displays the breakfast, lunch & dinner menus for that specific food station.

Each food station serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at certain times during the day, however the start and end time for each meal various for each food station.  Each food station has downtime in between meals when it is not serving food.  This downtime can start and end at different times for each food station, however there are times when all food stations are currently in downtime.

During downtime, I setup the BrightSign players to display a series of images that transition every 60 seconds to another image (using an image list in BrighAuthor).

I would like for the images being displayed during downtime to transition at the same time across the 7 BrightSign players even though the timing of when downtime starts may vary for each station.  I would be happy to provide more details if needed.  Any information you could provide on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated!

  You could designate one of the players to be a master, that will tell all other players which image to show.

  The master would broadcast a UDP message over the network, that contains either a key, or the image file name.

  To play the images, use the Image Play File, that picks an image from a list, by means of the key received.

  Since you have multiple players, playing the same content, it would make sense to use a media feed, like the one available in BrightSign Network. That way, if you need to add an image, or remove one, you do it one place, without having to publish revised presentation, and without having to disrupt what is presented on the screen.

  I may be able to be more helpful if I knew more about how your BA presentation is built.
