Multi screen sync 2 videos, 1 loop

I have a project where I'm using 3 Brightsigns and 3 Projectors.

The projectors are trying to be 'smart'. So the moment they are turned on and don't receive full imagery in the video, they assume they are in the wrong resolution and change that. If they get for example get a full screen white image, they will stay in the correct resolution.

That being said, my solution is to put on the Brightsign 2 videos. The moment the Brightsign starts, the first video will play. This is a 30 sec video with a countdown and a full screen white image. After this, the real video starts. When this video is finished, this video will loop infinitely.

I'm not achieving this with the Bright Sign author. It is not a video wall so I can't use that feature. I've used Zach Poff scripts to do the multi screen sync. but those are just for 1 video per Bright Sign. I've watched your tutorials but those versions in the video are older than the Author that I've downloaded.

Could you help me with the Author or preferably add the lines of code needed for the Zach Poff scripts. Or maybe you have other tricks to keep my 'smart' projectors in line? Looking forward to your thoughts.

warm regards,

Bucko

You could work around this by controlling the projector from the player.

Control could be over RS232(serial), Network, etc...

Can you share more information about the players' and projectors' models used?

Could you also clarify whether you need to sync the 3 player or not?

The players I'm using are the HD223.

The projectors that I'm using are the Acer p5515.

All players need to be in sync.

It's a pre rendered videomapping show for a museum.

The projector is enabled with the Crestron eControl which looks promising.

Generally speaking, it seems like you should use BrightAuthor, but without using BrightWall, so you can custom tailor your presentation to the task at hand. BrightScript coding is an option, but is not recommended.

You mentioned resolution, so start by forcing the player's resolution in BrightAuthor, so resolution is not negotiated with the projector.

It would take some exploration to find a way to make the player and projector play well together. Typically, when there will there is a way...

    I hope that helped.
