I see that there is another post open about this, but mine does not involve playback from VLC media player. I am simply looking to set up 1 unit as a server / HDMI transmitter, and 2-3 other units as playback / receivers. I want to confirm the following steps:
Setting up HDMI Encoder / Transmitter / Server / Source
1.) Downloading the following plugin: (https://www.brightsignnetwork.com/download/Tools/StreamingServer_HdmiInput.zip)
2.) Go to presentation properties / autorun / browse for the path of the plugin / BRS file (PLEASE CLARIFY: which one? (A - server_plugin_hdmi.brs) (B- server_plugin_hdmi_lowbitrate.brs) (C - StreamingServerHDMI.bpf)
3.) Publish the setup file / presentation to the unit
Setting up the other XT1143 Units as Receivers / Playback / Destinations
1.) Make a new playlist on the unit
2.) Drag in "Video Stream"
3.) Paste this URL into the "stream" field from the readme document that came with the plugins: rtsp://serverIPAddress:8090/mem:/hdmi/stream.ts
