HD222 Not updating through Simple File Networking

I have been using HD222 player fro six months and now for some reason is no longer updating.

I reset it and make sure that i replace the network cable. To my surprise the player was able to download the information, but could not play it.

At the moment I am publishing direct to the SD Card, which is a problem because the Board is 5hours away. 

 

How can I sort this problem out?

    BrightSign Network is a good tool for such task. Is BSN an option? (Can the player have internet access)

    Assuming that the firmware has not changed, I can think of couple of reasons for the failure:

    Change in network configuration, that is causing timeout.

    Failing SD card, or SD card too small.

     

    Please provide more information about the configuration, and workflow.

    The network speed is good 20Mps (i.e downloading speed), The SD Card is 32GB at a speed of 45Mbps. The files I am sending are 50Mb. For now I am publishing direct to the same SD Card from my PC and its working 

    Once again to add more information; I have two players and is only one that is having the problem

    Thanks for detailed information.

    If both players are at the same location, and under the same network access conditions, you could physically swap them, and see if the issue migrates with the player, or stays at the same sign. That would help trouble shooting, by narrowing down the possible cause for the issue.

     

    Are your players on the internet?

    Do the players download files from a remote server, or from a server on their local network?

    If you publish with debug enabled to the system log, and have diagnotic logging enabled during setup, you can then log into the player on the local network, if you remote int, and look at the log tab, and the log int he current log folder to see what problem is being reported. You can see if the download finished.
