Synchronisation problem / 8 x HD223

Hello, 

 

We use 8 brightsign players HD233 for an installation on led walls. We have problems with synchronisation... the eight videos were not synchronized (1 or 2 frames). The offset was almost permanent, we finally use a computer for the display...For information, i use a brightwall configuration.

Have tout got ideas about this problem ?

    That question is a tough one to answer, but I'll do my best to get you closer to the answer.

    In order to troubleshoot, I would load the same video file on all 8 players using BrightWall.

    The file would need to be renamed, so there is no number at the end of the file name. Otherwise, BrightAuthor may hide it for all screens but one.

    If that files plays in sync on all 8 players, you would know that there is something unusual with the encodes, or the way that the vide files were created.

    The report you provided is showing audio content. If some video files have audio, and some don't, you may run into sync issues...

    Thanks for your answer.

    The thing is that i can test again, i'm in France and the led walls were installed in Japan/

    When i try on eight independant classic display screens, i can't check the"frame losing", it's too difficult to see when the shift appears...

    The eight videos have audio... Have you checked the file contained the media infos ?

    I've looked at the media info, but I cannot see any red flags. Also, media info doesn't show any compression issue that may cause a player to stay behind the others...

    Here is a tool that I found useful for such cases

    What you could do at your end, is test with two players. Use video1 as reference, and load on the second player video 2, let it run for a while and look for sync problems. If you can't find a problem then load video3 on the second player, and repeat the process, until you can be confident that all players sync perfectly over time. You must use the same firmware as you have in Japan.

    There is the possibility that there is a hardware issue in Japan. Bad cabling and such.

    Can you provide AV schematics of the system in Japan.
