Hello,
We use multiple Brightsign HD 2000 units in our gallery for touch screen and video information. We are having an issue with one where we can not get it to play on our monitor in the gallery that it has been functioning at for some time. The lights on the brightsign all indicate that nothing is wrong, with a blinking light on the memory card on the front of the unit. At first I thought it was the Brightsign causing the issue but we can take the same setup and connect it a normal living room TV and the picture comes right up without an issue. I can also take the CF card and plug it into a working gallery setup and that works as well which confirms the CF card is not corrupt. I have tried reinstalling the firmware (v2.0.94) on the HD2000 and have the same results. I have tried swapping power bricks as well as cables connecting everything. I also know the monitor in the malfunctioning setup works independently as I am able to play a DVD player off of it. Any ideas? Thank you

Allen H. Porter Is the screen just black? Does it complain of an unsupported format or resolution? Maybe a "no signal" message?
What is the resolution of the content/presentation output by the BrightSign player?
I have some displays that will not work with 1920 X 1080 @ 60 frames progressive but will work at 30Hz or 29.97. When our customer updates content sometimes they will create their content in an unsupported resolution or frame rate.

Jtunney I get a "no signal" message when I do connect it to the problem monitor. So the monitor is deff reading something as soon as it is connected. It then goes black after some time of trying to boot the picture. The content plays on other installed/working players in our gallery with the same monitors so I don't think anything goofy is going on with resolution issues programmed on the card. I could be wrong though

Jtunney Also, I still get the no signal message when no card is plugged in. It should at least display the brightsign firmware and IP

Allen H. Porter Odd. HDMI cable?
These aren't Samsung screens are they? I have some Samsung screens that will not show the player diagnostic screen consistently...they seem to go to a black screen. If I power the Samsung display off and then back on it shows the diagnostic screen.
Sorry, I am not much help on this.

Jtunney No, the cables all work independently. They are ELO touch screens. Thanks for the help though.
