Audio Loss from HDMI input

Hi,

a customer of mine has a BrightSign XT1143 connected with a DVB-T decoder (TELE System TS6810 T2 StealthI) in order to show a live TV channel in a window.

The project has the followinf areas:

- 2 scrolling text areas

- 1 video area (with disabled audio)

- 1 video area with live video (activated audio via HDMI)

- 1 images area

The project works correctly for a day or so, but at sometimes it stops playing the audio coming from the decoder. Video still works fine.

The only way to make it works again is to reboot the player by unplugging the power.

What I cass check in order to understand where is the problem?

I have also swapped the XT1143 with another one but we have the same problem.

Waiting for a solution.

Thanks in advance,

Andrea.

Do you have a support ticket? I can send you a firmware release to test. It's currently planned for release in a month.

In the mean time, you can try setting the cable box refresh rate to the same as the player. So, if the cable box outputs 720p@59.94, your brightsign should be set to 59.94 output as well.

if your cable box allows it, set the audio to pcm.

another temporary workaround, if the sync is lost over a day, is to add  a reboot to the project so the player automatically reboots at 6am in the morning for example.

I'm having the same issue with audio loss on the XT. Can you send the fixed firmware? Thanks, David

The latest firmware 6.2.147 should address this.  You can find this for download here.

Thanks, that’s the version I’ve been running and still have the audio loss. Anything else I can try?

Please submit a support ticket and include:

    • Make and Model of Display
    • Make and Model of what is connected to the HDMI input
    • Input signal specifications (resolution, frame rate, etc.)
    • HDMI Connection Details (i.e. direct HDMI connection, any extenders that might be in use, etc.)
    • Frequency that the issue occurs
    • If you can, pull a log from the DWS when the issue occurs and attach that as well
