Live Data Feed not allowed

Hello,

 

I am trying to got some infirmation from an XML file but when I try to add a new live feed, the check box on "Live Data Feed" is not active and only allows to add an URL

I guess this is an easy fix but this is a first for us, we need to update reservation information for meeting rooms, and we need to display the name of the person who has reserved the room, and the start/finish hours. All the data is provided by a third party software in a XML file. 

Maybe the XML file is not in the right format but we can´t make this work.

I am using a HD1023, BSA 4,6.0.18.

    Daniel,

     

    The Live Data Feed you mentioned, is a BrightSign Network feed, which is not what you would need for your application.

    Can you share a sample of the XML feed that you need to integrate with?

    Hi, very late reply but I just recently I received more info from the customer and its a bit more difficult, they have a service whre the player should send a request to get the XML file and then use that XML to get the info to the players.

    You should send an HTTP POST request to an address like this:

     

    https://salesportal.qa1.customer.com/readerboard/reader?facilityID=ZZZZZ&eventDate=2015-03-11&numDays=1&userid=abc12345&passwd=test

    and the event will retunr a XML file like this, where part of the info will be required to post on the displays.

    Now this looks more complicated!!

    Any idea?

    Looks like you would need a custom parser or plugin to fetch and process the data.

    Yes maybe, can you please give a any recommendation on a developer that can achieve this plugin?
