RS232 - XT-1143

Hi,

We are trying to contoll a Hitachi CP-WU5500 via RS232 from a Brightsign XT-1143.

We send Serial bytes (comma seperated) port (0) Bytes 190,239,003,006,000,186,210,001,000,000,096,001,000

(In hex: BE EF 03 06 00 BA D2 01 00 00 60 01 00)

What we recieve from the BrightSign is:

Hex: 3F 3F F8 9E FE 1E 00 78 00 00 3F 3F 98 1E C3 3F 00 3F 3F 00 00 00 66 00 00

-----------------------

We can´t get the projector to turn on.

Anyone ?

Where are you seeing this data?

Also, forgive me if you already know that but, have you looked at the baud rate settings on both the projector and the player?

I hooked up my computer on the Brightsign to see which commands it did send out.
The problem is that it sends out the wrong hex commands.
Maby the Brightsign does something when it translate from the decimal to hex ?

I've noticed that you have the decimal values zero padded.

    Decimal 3 shows as 003.

Can you try without the zero?

Please try a single decimal value first, and verify that you are receiving the correct HEX.

You should also send ASCII and verify that it shows as expected in the serial terminal app on the PC.

Just to rule out any other issues like wrong baud rate, wrong wiring, etc...
