Hi, I'm trying to get audio from the USB-C port on the LS242 via USB-C to 3.5mm analog connector, but it's not working now.

- Setting audio output on BrightAuthour is fine.

- Each time I set the player to boot after plugging the adapter into the USB-C port.

- A connector I have now is an original Apple product. Is it a bad choice? As far as the original BrightSign connector is concerned, it's not available in my region and is difficult to obtain in my situation due to invoicing.

Any idea how to make it work?

  The brightsign usbc to analog cable isn't a standard one. I don't believe it can work with your apple connector. Can you look in the player registry for the force_type_c_port setting? That should tell us if it's set to analog_audio.

  How do I check "the player registry for the force_type_c_port setting"? Is this in the BrightAuthor software?

  Depends on firmware version. If you log into player's ip address, go to the advanced tab. There's a registry button there under newer releases, 8.x and later.

  For older firmware, you would enter player's ip address/registry_dump.html in your browser.
