I am having som trouble - and after many hours (days) of troubleshooting I think the problem is related to sound-files. But I do not see any logic in this. I hope you can help with a tip:
My setup is as follows:
- Media-player LS4
- USB C to Delock-adapter HDMI and stereo-output (minijack)
All of my mp3-files are created with Garagband on a Mac - short recorded voices. I guess I have approx 50 - 60 different sound-files in my show. ¨When i first programmed the show - everything ran smoothly. I had no issues. After programming - I changed many of the mp3-files to new recordings. That´s when the problems started. Most of the mp3-files are sill playing perfectly - but approximately 10 of them starts playing - then both the screen turns black - and the sound stops for a few seconds - before it comes back on - still playing the same mp3-file wich seems to have been running in the background during «shutdown» because when it gets back on - I am further in the soundtrack.
My troubleshooting so far:
- I have tryed multiple new recordings/versions of the same voice. With the same filename, with a different filename. Sometimes it helps - sometimes it don´t help. It seems to be very random. I have also tried with AAC, and Wav-files of the same recordings.
- If I change the file in the show - without changing any of the programming besides linking to another file that works elsewhere - this file playes perfectly triggered by the same events on this event in the show.
- if I tak the «bad» mp3 and place it in another spot in the show - where there normally is a file that is working - this «bad» file now goes to shutdown in this spot as well.
- All of the mp3-files are shared from the same Garageband-file - with the same settings.
- I have restarted the PC programming the SD-cards
- I have restarted the Mac recording the mp3-files
- I have formatted the SD-card
- I have tried different multiple LS4 players. One of them new straight from the box.
- I have tried multiple delock-adapters
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled Brightauthor
- changed 26 of the files back to the original files that I know used to work a few weeks ago - Now 21 of them works - the last 5 did not work.
For me this seems very random - and event though it seems to be connected to the mp3-files - it feels more as a cache/RAM/memory/bug-issue
Any ideas?
