Rename Groups

It seems it is not possible to rename Groups on BSN.

This is the most basic of functionalities and I am at a loss to to try and fathom why it is not a 'feature'!

Does anyone know if it is possible to rename groups, or if not what the rational explanation for this lack of functionality would be?

    Long story short, along with Account name, the Group name is part of the ID/key, so changing it would disconnect the player from its network (account) and group membership and it wouldn't get any new updates until it was set up again or goes through Network Recovery.

    Thank you for the reply. However this sounds like an incredibly short-sighted design decision.

    We frequently have groups with around 50 players in them, and having to painstakingly move 1 at a time to a new group just to change the name is incredibly frustrating and time consuming when this operation should take seconds.

    I'm not sure renaming groups should be a classed as a 'feature' any more than you'd class 'keyboard support' as a feature: It is the most basic of functions.

    It's working as designed (regardless of what your or my opinion may be of that design), so it's not a bug, and the best way to get tractions is to either log or upvote in the BrightSign Product and Feature Request Discussion forum so Product Management can prioritize the work.
