Trying to set up single button interactive

I am working on a video Kiosk for a client. Just one video that is activated by a push-button, press the button the video plays once and wont play again until someone else pushes the button. hoping to use the button the client has on hand but have purchased several alternatives just in case. I have managed to set up the player, an HD225, and loaded the video onto the mini sd card and it works in the player. As a test I looped the video but now I need to set up the presentation as an interactive presentation. I am totally confused about how to set up for interactive. I have watched several videos but am having a hard time understanding the process in BrightAuthor:Connected. Can anybody point me to a video or explanation on this simple setup.

    One button

    One video file

    Please describe the user experience:

What shows on the screen after a long time of no interaction?

What happens after the activated video ends?

What kind of button is it? If its GPIO you can wire it into the GPIO inputs on the HD225. Then you just select which ever GPIO port you are using in BA:Connected to trigger the video.

Then you can just start a new presentation in BA: Connected. Select HD225 and whatever video settings. If its just a single video then the default is fine. Once in BA, select the Interactive toggle by the publish button. Now drag and drop your media file into the work area. If you want it to be blank until the button is push then I would use an Event Handler, set as the initial state. Then use GPIO event matching your input and whip it to the media file. Then select Media End event and whip it from media file to Event Handler.
