Synchronization strategy

Hi

I am about to start a project and wanted to get an idea how best to approach it.

My client wants:

2 projectors showing edge blended content - a sequence of videos - so obviously this is synchronizatoin

UDP control of these for start and stop - so UDP control of master for start/stop.. that is fine

AND: they would like to be able to control a lighting system over the serial port or using a UDP command FROM the master brightsign player.

I dont know if these lighting changes will take place on transition between video files.. or at some arbitrary time in the timeline.. - I am not sure how to achieve this?

Id appreciate any tips on setting this up

Thanks

James

Have you done an interactive project before or a sync project. What is that you need help with?

You can use udp commands to choose files on the master unit, and you can then send sync commands when the udp events are received on the master. You can add video timecode events to the videos on the master so that you can send lighting commands at set intervals during playback.

Do you just need a sample project that listens for udp input, and sends sync commands, and also sends out serial commands at some point? Once you start playback, do all videos play one after the other? Or do you just play one video, and then another command to play another video?

    Hi

Ive done one before - UDP control of the Brightsign player plus synchronization of the player with slave players.

I havent done timeline events to control other devices.

A sample project that contained -

    - UDP start/stop

    - Synchronization

    - UDP output to another system at an arbitrary time on the timeline

That would be a real help.

    Many thanks
