Network and Screen Zones

I downloaded all of the pdf documents I could find on the Roku websight, but could not find one that discussed the network interface in detail. Nor could I find the web plugin discussed in one of the presentations. Can you point me in the right direction to find more implementation details on how to update players via the network? What is the command sequence between player and web server?

Also, other players, like Advantech DSA break up the screen in zones, with one zone being used for video playback and other zones for scrolling text, and other zones for image files. Does the BrightSign palyer have this functionality? For example, could you have a video playing with text scrolling below relating to the video, like screen crawlers on TV (sports scores on ESPN).

    Hi,



    The networking software just entered beta testing. That's why there isn't any documentation on the website, but I can answer any questions you have.



    Additionally, the zones functionality is currently in testing, but we've demonstrated it at several shows, and it's as you describe it. You can definite a zone for playing video or images, and additional zones for text, and images, as well as "widgets" like a clock or weather.

    Lyndon, this would be a GREAT feature.  It is available for the 600 or only the 2000?  I'm working on a project for a church using several 600's and this would be a welcomed update.

    This functionality will be available on the HD200. THe same is true of the networking functionality.
