Anyone have any luck with Mac's compressor for the HD2000

I have an HD 2000 and am trying to encode 720p content. I am using Compressor to make the mpgs. When I try to get the file to play the HD2000 freezes up. I am using the "Multiplexed MPEG-1/Layer 2 Audio" function to get the audio imbedded. Is this correct?

Thanks for any help.

Please look at the final cut compressor directions in the back of the user's guide. Many of our customers use compressor and final cut to create content.

Please remember that the max bitrate of the HD2000 is 25Mbps. If you haven't already done so, try downloading software version 1.3.27, and autorun 1.3.0.7 from the support pages for the brightsign.

if you are still having trouble, email me at lallydice@roku.com, and I'll send you directions for uploading a file to our ftp server so we can take a look at it.

I did some searching on an apple website, and you are correct. Compressor 2 doesn't have an option to create an mpeg2 program stream. When you generate the mpeg, do you get two files? If you do, there's a mac program called streamclip that you can use to merge the two files into one mpeg2 program stream.

    1. Encode your video and audio using Compressor.

    2. For audio, choose AIFF, and make sure it gets the same name as the .m2v, but of course with the right .aif suffix.

    3. Open the .m2v file in MPEG Streamclip (the audio should automaticly load with the video file if they have the same file name).

    4. Choose the file menu and choose Covnvert To MPEG or Covnvert To MPEG Using MP2 Audio, depending on what your client wants. Ask them.

If you have a pc, there's great utility from womble that you use to change a transport stream into a program stream. It's called mpeg2vcr.
