Looping videos - seamless transition possible with HD2000?

We are needing to loop video seamlessly, and transition from one file to another seamlessly. Is this possible with the ROKU HD2000. We have three of them running a three screen show in sync. At the end of the first file, the last frame of video matches the first frame, so the jump should be seemless with the exception of the slight pause (video frame held in buffer while it reloads). We get a black frame jump in the middle of this loop. The CSV file we edited has the videoend cell with the same file name as the button state.

I can send the CSV file if someone gives me an email address.
There are no black frames in the video.

The second scenario we want to play file #2, and then jump to file #1 without a black "flash" before the three screens play. Same scenario as above. Both scenarios have black flash before the files play. Does the bitrate of the encode have any affect on this? Our program streams are encoded at 20-22 Mbps/sec HD MPEG2 and the play great on the units! Thanks in advance...we are on a tight deadline to resolve this...

    Colin,

I'm sorry but it's not possible to play seemlessly as you describe on the HD2000. The bitrate doesn't affect it. You can loop a single video, without audio, on the compact models, but if you're switching from file to file, there's still a slight delay, althoug less than on the HD2000.

That's funny, it was working on all three when we first installed them. We were running three program streams (one on each) for left, center and right screens. They were seemlessly looping. When we added the second file they stopped. I thought the HD2000 had a frame buffer that held the last frame of video?

I should clarify: When I say seemless, what I mean is that there is a slight pause in the video, less than a second in length. Then the file loops and plays. I'm fine with that, I just don't want a black frame(s) in between the loops...

Ok, then that might be doable. If there's no black in the video, we can change how the video stops before moving on to the next video. I think by default, there's a stop clear.

Can you email me the autorun.bas you're using to support@brightsign.biz?

Also, with a single video, the units are set to loopmode true, which means the way they restart is different.

    Hi Lyndon:

I sent you the file...did you receive it at the email address you gave me? I haven't heard anything for a week, so I thought I'd follow up in case the email never made it to you...thanks!
