HD2000 - Assistance with writing a complex script
I'm quite new to the BrightSigns and only have done some Interactive Playlists so far. These worked well, but also were simple enough to do in a short amount of time. Now I have a problem which I think I can't solve with a simple playlist. I suspect that I have to get involved with learning how to write a quite complex script. The problem is, that I only have a very limited amount of time to do it. Perhaps somebody already has done something similar and can help me a bit.
This is for a museum installation - I hope I can explain it (with my limited english) in a way it makes sense to you:
There are five HD2000 which each drive a 22" LCD via VGA installed in a wall with the embossed outline of an island on top of it. A computer running a game which projects the gameplay-image (Streets, destination points corresponding to the five monitors and a car which can be controlled with a steering wheel and throttle) via a Full-HD Projector onto the wall. As soon as the user hits one of the five projected destinations with the car a video gets triggered on the corresponding screen. The content of each monitor consists of one to three videos and one to two Screensaver-Videos.
The only way to trigger a player by the computer is ONE dry contact for each of them. So the script needs to do the following:
When no destination is selected each screen runs its Screensaver-Video in a loop.
When a destination is selected the first time, the first video runs (as long as the dry contact is closed - as soon as it opens again, the video gets interrupted and the screensaver should kick in because the user has left the destination).
When a destination is selected again the second respectively the third video should be started. After this the sequence starts over again with the first video.
One monitor is special, because its videos are seperated into day and night. There are two Night-Videos and one Day-Video. This one also has two screensavers. One for Night and one for Day. What has to happen here is that after a Day-Video played the Day-Screensaver should be played and (you guess it already) after a Night-Video being played the Night-Screensaver should run.
I hope someone can help me with this, because I think I will have a hard time getting this running in time solely on my own.
Thanks in advance
Oliver
