more 50p-resolutions please

Would it be possible to add more 50p resolutions to the selectable resolutions ?

I am currently working on a project with standard XGA projectors as display units and a lot of video content from the 50Hz Pal-world. Using the HD1010 in 1024x768x75p mode unfortunatly causes clearly visible stuttering in the video, caused by the "conversion" from 50p to 75p.

I ended up using the HD1010 in 1280x720x50p mode and scaling this back to XGA in the projector. This way video is very fluent ... but this scaling from 1280x720 to 1024x768 can not be the right way !?

Is there a hardware issue adding this non VESA 1024x768@50 or could this be done via firmware ?
Besides 1025x768@50 it would also be nice to have the other PC-resolutions available in 50Hz.

I think, having XGA60 instead of XGA75 would also be nice for the NTSC-world !?

    There are some gaps in the pixel clock support that make some resolutions not possible, like 1024 @60. I'll check if the same limitation occurs at 50.



    Is it possible to encode the content at 25frames?

    possible yes, but not really desireable.



    25p videos are simply not stutter free for the human eye (different to 30p).



    Normally I would use interlaced video as a compromise, but i realized that interlaced video does not look good on the HD1010.



    XGA50 would be great
