Using Sample Display projects

I have looked at the sample Display on/off projects, but being new to this how does it work? does it send a display on/off command via HDMI? Also how do you integrate this code into the project script already controlling the sign. Thanks Andy

    The sample on off projects assume the display is connected via serial, and sends the commands via the serial port. I don't believe you can turn off the display using HDMI or VGA. You can send a command to kill sync on the VGA or HDMI which would put the display into standby.
