HD410 to control an EPSON projektor via RS232

Hello! I would like to control a EPSON EB-G5100 projector via serial commands (RS232). I put the strings into my BrightAuthor projectfile. Only the first command was executed ( PWR ON ), no more commands ( SOURCE 30 <-- to select the source input or PWR OFF) Maybe the debug outputs via RS232 are "too much" for the projector? --> There are many entries in this forum, that i have to set debugON = false in the autorun.brs. If i do so, there is no output on the RS232 1 Whats wrong? Is it possible to get only the ASCII strings out on the RS232? thanks for your help Patrick

Yes, you can send ascii strings. we have many customers that do. Can you send any of the other commands to the projector? Is source the only one that fails?

Can you send me the manual you're using, to support@brightsign.biz, and let me know what page has the commands. If you leave the projector, and the first command you send is the source command, does that still fail? If you send the source command manually, from a terminal application, does that work?

    Thank you Lyndon!

It works perfect, if i publish my project with latest version of BrightAuthor.
    All commands were executed fine.
    (the problems are with 2.0.0.23)

    thx

I'm glad it's working, but not sure why it failed to begin with with that version.

    Patrick,
How did you get the Roku to Power On? I tried the PWR ON by itself and then with a serial byte of 13 afterwards to no avail. I just put a post online but came across this one. I have a Epson Projector also. Not the same model but I would assume the serial commands are the same.

    Thanks,
    Alan
