Rollover Highlighting without a mouse

I would like to be able to activate rollover highlighting through RS232 commands. I'm attempting to emulate up/down/left/right cursor highlighting much like a DVD menu with an IR remote, but with an external control system. I could use GPIO instead of RS232 if necessary. Is there any way to do this? TIA Dick

    Are you doing the project with a script or a playlist?

    I haven't started it yet, so I'm open to either solution.  I also have not ordered the players yet, so if it needs to be an 810 or 1010, I'm open to that.  I have my demo HD1010 on hand (just updated the firmware), so I have something to work with.
