Possible GPI input failure? HD1010

Hello, We have a custom made button box that controls GPI functionality on an HD1010 master + 2 HD210 slaves. We use the box to recall different looping background animations on our TV News set - which has 3 monitors tiled horizontally. Suddenly, our GPI #0 background stopped working. We tested all the wiring and even made a testing DB15 connector with jumpers, so we can trigger the GPIs directly at the unit, without the need for our button box and wiring. No matter what we did, the GPI #0 did not work, after previously working for weeks. I swapped the file name of the .mpg files, renaming movie #0 to movie #3, and vice versa. This worked, and we are now able to recall the movie that was previously recalled by GPI #0, with GPI#3. So I believe we ruled out a problem with the movie files themselves. Is it possible that our GPI#0 simply failed on the HD1010? I have the contents of all 3 cards available in a zip file if you would like me to email it to you. (excluding the movies, it's only 5mb.) Thanks, Angelo News 12 NJ

I wasn't sure if we had exchanged emails directly, but yes, it does sound like your gpio failed. If this is still an open issue, please contact us at support@brightsign.biz.

I just sent an email to support, this problem is still outstanding, and it would be great if you could help us determine the best direction for repair or replacement.

I would appreciate that. Can you offer a suggestion on how we would get by while the unit is being repaired? Can you offer an advance replacement? We use the 1010 as our main news set background.
