how to delete a bmp from Ticker Advance Menu

I added a bmp file to my ticker under Advanced option. I want to remove it and I delete the field text for the image.bmp file and saved, but it will not remove the bmp reference using BA the only way to remove it I found was to manually edit the BA xml presentation file and remove the xml reference tag for the bmp for the ticker widget bug in BA? or is there another way to remove it? bill
