Updating to BrightAuthor 2.2.0.37

I installed BrightAuthor 2.2.0.37 on a pc running Windows Vista. This pc had several existing .bpf project files on it, signs that were built from an earlier version of BrightAuthor. However, after installing the latest version, NONE of those .bpf files can be found. As a test, I created a brand new project from the newly installed software and the new .bpf file does show of course. But where did all of our previous project files go? Note: Earlier in the day, I installed the new BrightAuthor 2.2.0.37 on a DIFFERENT computer running Windows XP. This pc also had several existing .bpf files on it from an earlier version of BrightAuthor. I had no problem finding and opening up my previous projects in the updated software. Can you please advise? Karen Dippel

The installer doesn't touch existing files. It only writes to specific locations, under program files and the app data folder. If you go to the folder where your files were saved, they aren't there anymore? Plus, the newer version works with older project files. I've literally installed and deinstalled various 2.2 versions at least 30 times, and I've never had existing content or project files be affected.

If your files are missing, something else was the cause.
