slow response when scanning bardode
I'm currently using brightuathor to program certain videos to be played on keyboard input attract-loop plays until interrupt via bard code scanner Scanner triggers video based on bar code input (a specific number plays a specific video) and then returns to attract loop after X seconds (length of video in seconds). Everything is working, except there is a 6 second delay between the beep in my barcode scanner and when the appropriate video triggers. I have tried to reduce the size of my videos and changed codecs/compression level but all of these changes together or separately only seem to reduce loading time by a second or two. I use mostly h264 compressed movs and my firmware and bright-author are both updated as of a month ago. Might anybody have any suggestions on improving the response time?
