HD1010/810 & ELO (or other) touchscreens

hi Forum,

which specific touchscreen products are best support by the brightsign 810/1010 series? and what are your general experiences using them w/Brightsign devices? thanks!

(project just bumped up to touchscreen interfaces)

WE have built-in support for any touchscreen that uses an HID driver. Elo is very popular. Is there a specific size you're looking for? I can look at what models customers have indicated they've used.

I'm not sure what you mean by general experiences. The touch screens work well with the BrightSign. Customers have been happy with the performance.

thanks for the reply Lyndon.  the general mood from the topics on this forum is very positive, and we are pleased that we are using Brightsign for this project.

specifically we are looking at using the 3239L 32" model from Elo...

That model is available both with APR or Intellitouch.  We don't support the APR touch technology, but we support Intellitouch.

OK.  Elo has been acquired and tested, but a couple things that have occured.  here's my little list:

•the HD1010 plays back our media on the Elo 3239L perfectly.

•The Elo 3239L functions perfectly with the Brightsign interactive demos

•HOWEVER, I cannot get custom menus to function properly (FLIPELO doesn't seem to do anything).  cursor shows up in entirely the wrong place - and even compensating for that does not trigger the video assets.

•I place our assets (720p h264 encoded mpeg2 *.ts - play fine in non-interactive *.csv playlists) into the Brightsign demos and the menus do not play the assets when the Elo spots are touched.

I do not think the *.csv playlist format is complicated - it should be working fine, but I am frustrated that I cannot get our assets to play in the otherwise functioning demo, especially as I can get the assets to play otherwise.  I cannot program further aspects of this project until I can get these basics ironed out, and I've already spent a lot of time tweaking *.csv's.  I've attempted everything on both available firmwares for the HD1010.

all help is greatly appeciated, will happily supply my files if necessary...
