Syntax for modifying Current-Sync.xml

It there a programming guide available for modifying the current-sync.xml file to allow insertion of a autoplay.csv file?

Adding the file does not look like more than a copy/paste of an existing line and changing the file name and hash, but how would one generate the hash?

We have done a proof of concept for a client for a simple push button applicaiton, but we need to update the content on a daily basis over a network connection. We are OK with creating the files manually until the tool is ready to create the documents.

    What brightsign are you using?

I'm not sure what you are asking. The brightauthor software doesn't support interactive playback yet, but that's currently under development. Are you using a sync file from BrightAuthor?

Can you explain more what you are trying to do so I have a clearer picture?

The application is a bunch of displays with push buttons and HD1010's distributed around a LAN.   Each button triggers a video file to play.  When complete, the attract loop runs.  All is achieved with a simple interactive playlist.

The client whats to be able to update content on the interactive playlist remotely. I see references in the documentation for using a sync file but no specifications.  My intent was to modify a current-sync.xml file to update the video files and a autorun.csv file.  If there is another way, can you please foward the documentation or point me to the pages in one of the documents online.

    Mitch,

We are currently adding interactivity support to BrightAuthor, which will allow you to do network updates of interactive projects.

Some customers have used php to generate their own sync files including hash keys. We don't have a guide for writing this yourself.

Until BrightAuthor is ready, you can also upload csv files to a brightsign network manager account and do the csv network updates that way.

I'm sending you a file to take a look at to see if it helps.

Thanks.   Bright Manager is an option.  Can you send me the installer and system requirements again? I had it at one point and cannot locate the files.

    THX
