transition in video?

Hi, I have my HD1010 with several videos, arranged in playlist. I want to add dissolve/fade to black and fade from black everytime one video finish playing and the next one start, is it possible? Adding 'transition 15' command to the autoplay.bsp seems to make the content not playing at all in brightsign.

    I would recommend downloading and installing BrigthAuthor, if you haven't already done so.



    We don't currently have transitions between videos. We can try to simulate this by playing an playing a black image and using the fade transition. This should work for fading to black, but fading back to the video might not work in the same fashion.

    What I am trying to do is having interactivity with videos playing in brightsigns. Using serial port command, anytime a user can interrupt the video that is playing. What I want is instead of having a cut, the video fades to black before doing something else.

    I think one workaround we can try is to display a black image when commands are received, and a video is stopped, and play the image with transition 15, fade.





    We'll need to modify the autorun to do this.

    Hi,

    I've been trying to implement this, when a command is received ( UDP / Button etc.. ) it transition to a new state ( black still image) i have changed the image transition settings and tried a few option, but always just does a cut.

    My media has a fade-in, so I only need a fade when exiting movie playing mid way through.

    Is there a workaround / technique to have a movie fading to an image on cue ?

    Here's a tip... You'll need to use an XD. Create an image layer on the top zone.

    Apply a transparent png. It doesn't matter what size just stretch to fit.

    upon cue, fade to black image. You can cut to the new video or whatever behind the "curtain"

    fade back to transparent png or to next image.

    Job done...

    Forgive me if this appears twice. My response hasn't shown up yet.

    I'm not sure if its our firewall or your end

    You'll need an XD to pull this off. An HD won't do the transparency.

    Create an image zone on the top layer. Set Zone properties image mode scale to fill.

    Put a transparent PNG as home media.

    Upon cue fade to Black image. (jpg works fine)

    This gives the illusion of a video fade to black.

    Fade back or cut to the PNG when your ready.

    Jobs a good'n.

    Our idea is to just do a simple looped playlist but also cache one separate piece media and trigger that file to play from our server (not on the LAN).  I can see how this might be accomplished by using the Media Properties > Advanced > Other commands > Show/Hide zone, but is there a tried and true way of doing this? also what is the method to send these commands?... custom plugin? UDP?

    We are just getting familiar with brightauthor but I would have to believe that the engineers at BS would have built a method for this already.
