setting transparency with BrightAuthor

Hi - I'm using the HD1010 to create a presentation with multiple zones, two of which are a ticker with an rss feed and a clock. These will sit upon a separate image zone. I would like the background of the ticker and the clock zones to be transparent so that the graphic underneath in the image zone shows through. At the moment, I am unable to make them transparent. I'm using BrightAuthor to create the presentation and have set the transparency slider to full transparency in the zone properties for both elements, but they show up as black boxes (the default background color) - no transparency. I also tried setting the background of the zones to a transparent png, but they still show up as black boxes. I saw a script that will set the transparency of a zone, but I really need this presentation to be in BrightAuthor so that my client can easily make updates in the future. Any idea what I'm missing or doing wrong? Thanks!

Transparency works over videos, but not over images.

If the image were not changeing, you could set a part of the image, saved as a new file, as the bakcground to the text or clock zone. But, if the images are changing, that wouldn't work.

You could convert the images to 1 second videos, and then this would work.

You could make the image zone smaller, and have text and clock zones, with their own background images that didn't change...

Create an empty .png file and set it as the background bitmap file of the clock
